U.S. Army doctor Janna Connelly is allowed to return home to help her estranged father who has a heart attack. When she returns home, she finds that her once vibrant ranch is in urgent need of renovation, and at the same time, there is a local sheriff who is eyeing the livestock on the ranch. Janna has to face the heavy childhood memories that have been reopened while fighting against corrupt political forces. This film is adapted from real events. The protagonist of the inspiration is Gary Dassinger, a rancher in Dickinson, North Dakota. It mainly adapts his story of fighting against relevant forces in 2017 to save the horses on the ranch from confiscation.
