This film is adapted from a true story. In 1933, John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) and his accomplice John Hamilton (Jason Clark) robbed a prison with weapons and successfully rescued members of the robbery gang from the Indiana prison, including "Pretty Boy" Floyd (Channing Tatum), "Baby Face" Nelson (Stephen Graham), etc., and hid in the farmhouse of corrupt policeman Martin (John Michael Bolger).
