After a catastrophic nuclear explosion in New York City, Josh (Milo Ventimiglia), Mickey (Michael Biehn), Marilyn (Rosanna Arquette), Sam (Rosanna Arquette), Darwin (Courtney B. Vance), Eva (Lauren German), Adrian (Ashton Holmes), and Bobby (Michael Eklund) are eight strangers hiding in the basement of an apartment building. Suddenly, a group of armed men in nuclear, biological and chemical protective suits appear, kidnap the little girl among the survivors and prepare to kill all the rest. The survivors resist and kill the armed men. But the door to the basement was sealed from the outside by the armed men, and people were trapped in the basement.
