The film is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name. The story tells the story of two best drug dealers Chon and Ben in Laguna Beach, Los Angeles, who refused the Mexican drug lord's request to work for him. The latter kidnapped their "close friend" Ophelia and demanded a large ransom. In order to rescue their female companion, they secretly stole the drug lord's own goods in exchange for the ransom; it was truly a dangerous competition.
