Shortly before the Warsaw Uprising, a group of local young men joined the underground, not only to fulfill their patriotic obligations, but also to embark on a youthful adventure, to brag to their peers and to impress the girls. While training in the underground, they flirted, showed off, and made plans, not knowing that the following summer would be the test of their lives, and history had already made plans for them. They became one of the bravest groups fighting in the Warsaw Uprising, and together they witnessed sacrifice and heroism, as well as cruelty, betrayal, and murder; they learned about love and hatred.
