Plot:
In 1818, in the town of Red River, Tennessee, the United States, John (Donald Sutherland), the head of the prestigious Bell family, was cursed by the witch Cather Bates (Gaye Brown) because of a land dispute. Soon after, various horrific and bizarre events occurred one after another and gradually escalated. In the end, Betsy (Rachel Hurd-Wood), the youngest daughter of the Bell family, was possessed by a ghost, and an inhuman curse came out of her mouth: "One of the Bell family must die." The Bell family tried every means to expel the evil spirit, but to no avail. They must face the horrible curse that is about to come true, as well as the ugly secrets hidden in the family... The film is adapted from real events and is the only officially recognized case in American history where a wronged ghost has claimed the life of a person and caused death. There have been more than 20 books dedicated to this matter.
