In 2002, Anyan (Tong Liya), who had just graduated, was assigned to teach at Heping Middle School in Changzhi County. Born in the city, she initially found it difficult to adapt to the teaching environment and concepts of rural schools. But as she got along with the students and visited their homes, Anyan gradually realized the importance of rural education and felt the value of being "needed". Inspired by the old principal Yu Tian and the current principal Fu Shengzhi (Kang Aishi), she understood and inherited the educational concepts of "guarding" and "incubating", and grew into an excellent teacher known far and wide. In 2012, Anyan became the vice principal in charge of logistics at Heping Middle School, promoting the implementation of "nutritious lunch". In 2016, Anyan was appointed as the principal of the relocation school for poverty alleviation. Faced with a weak teaching foundation and complex student source situation, Anyan led a group of outstanding rural teachers to solve the problems one by one and created a high-quality learning environment for the children.
