Plot:
In a remote mountain village, the son of the village chief picked up a fainted girl, and the villagers talked about it. Baozhu's father (played by Tian Chengren) was old, and he took the little girl home with great effort. Baozhu suddenly felt that he had lost face. He thought that his father was dissatisfied with his daughter-in-law Xiangcao (played by Hao Yang) who had been married for many years and had not given birth to a son or a daughter. The girl's name was Xiaohua (played by Zhang Yan), and she ran away from home because she couldn't stand the abuse of her family. She begged her grandfather to adopt her. Baozhu's father loved the girl and took her in regardless of his son and daughter-in-law's dissatisfaction. Xiaohua's cleverness and understanding comforted her grandfather, but Xiangcao was very jealous and even arranged to cheat Xiaohua away. Xiaohua has always wanted to have a mother. Not only did she not resent the harm done to her by her uncle and aunt, she moved Baozhu and Xiangcao with her sincerity and kindness again and again.
