The drama is set against the backdrop of drug-trafficking cases. It tells the story of Zhang Zhuoying (Zuo Hang), a female policewoman from the anti-drug detachment, and Wang Xingjian (Wang Zirui), who loves advanced technology but has a lax personality, working undercover to battle wits and courage with drug dealers. The drama uses the investigation of the new drug C2, which is extremely harmful, as a clue to uncover a major drug case in which the older generation of drug-trafficking police officers, including Zheng Xiao (Bai Yongcheng) and Zhang Xudong (Li Youbin), participated 24 years ago.
