Two thousand years ago in China, the Qin King was tyrannical and the princes revolted. Outside the bloody battlefield, there were scattered city-states built deep in the dense forest. Xiang Yu (played by Daniel Wu) and Liu Bang (played by Liu Ye), two leaders of the uprising against the tyranny of Qin, led their respective forces to fight for freedom and happiness, and at the same time, they were approaching the core of the dynasty, the Qin Palace, which symbolized supreme power and unlimited wealth. The course of history is always tortuous and vague, but there is only one result: the fierce and impulsive overlord Xiang Yu missed the opportunity to kill Liu Bang at the "Hongmen Banquet", and could only shed his blood into the Wujiang River and bid farewell to his beloved woman Yu Ji (played by He Dujuan) in tears. Liu Bang and his Empress Lü (played by Qin Lan), his counselors Han Xin (played by Zhang Zhen), Zhang Liang (played by Qi Dao), and Xiao He (played by Sha Yi), endured the humiliation and fought to the end, becoming the final owner of the glorious palace. In that luxurious house, Liu Bang, who ruled the country, seemed to have long forgotten the years of fighting side by side with his former allies, and even gradually began to be suspicious of his brothers. Another round of killing began to spread silently within the towering walls of the empire...
