The transformation of time and space, the shuttle between the present and the future, are all happening magically to Jack (Adrien Brody). He was originally an American soldier who participated in the Gulf War. An accidental bullet caused him to lose his memory and become an amnesiac. Then, even more unfortunate, he was taken back for interrogation by the police as a murder suspect. Because he was diagnosed with mental illness, Jack was spared from jail and was taken to a mental hospital as a sample for a scientific experiment. The doctor put tight clothes on Jack and put him in the morgue. It was dark and cold here, with only scattered fragments of memory to accompany Jack. Among the fragments, there is his future appearance, a beloved woman named Jackie (Keira Knightley), and the message that he is about to die. Jack, who sees the future in his memory, is looking for the key to life in a glimmer of hope.
