Plot:
On December 27, 1937, the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China held an emergency meeting in Bizidian. According to the rapidly changing situation, the meeting decided to formally launch an uprising before Taicheng was captured by the Japanese invaders. Japanese Lieutenant Colonel Takahiro Hamano entered Taicheng as the vanguard of the Japanese army. In Yatou Village, Culai Mountain, Yang Dongliang, the second son of the village chief Yang Shounan, was getting married. On the way to marry the bride Hu Lamei, Yang Dongliang and others encountered the bandit leader Ju Zhenshan who robbed the bride. The young and energetic Yang Dongliang led people to suppress the bandits, but accidentally killed two Japanese scouts. Yang Shounan's eldest son Yang Dongshan took Feng Chao and other comrades from the Provincial Committee back to Yatou Village to prepare for the uprising. They were betrayed by the traitor Lu Maoheng, resulting in Yatou Village being bloodbathed by the Japanese squadron led by Takahiro Hamano. On January 1, 1938, Feng Chao, Yang Dongshan and others convened more than 160 patriots from all walks of life in the Dasi of Culai Mountain to swear an uprising and establish the "Fourth Detachment of the Eighth Route Army Luzhong Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Force". Under the leadership of Feng Chao and others, Yang Dongliang and his newlywed wife Hu Lamei successfully infiltrated Taicheng, disrupted a series of strategic plans of the Japanese army, and wiped out the Japanese army led by Takahiro Hamano in one fell swoop.
