In order to return home to take care of her seriously ill father, the film's art director Fu Yue (played by Ariel Lin) had to leave the crew midway, give up the old house in Taipei that was under renovation, and accompany her family back to her hometown of Chiayi. During this time back in her hometown to accompany her father, Fu Yue treaded on the footsteps of her grandfather when he was alive, recalled her grandfather's beliefs and inherited faith, and found her own new strength.
