Plot:
This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by British writer Swift, telling the story of Gulliver's adventures in Lilliput. Gulliver (Jack Black) is a clerk in a company's post office. He is not young, but he has achieved nothing in his career and love. His only hobby is to keep company with Star Wars dolls. A wrong public mission brought him to the Bermuda Islands. Unexpectedly, he encountered a big storm when he went out to sea. After everything was calm, he found himself on a mysterious island, Lilliput, which was not on the map. There lived hundreds of "little people". And he was being "nailed" on the beach by them with countless ropes and became their captive. But over time, the people of Lilliput and Gulliver became good friends. At this time, the princess (Emily Blunt) was about to marry to another country, but she already had a childhood sweetheart. Gulliver came forward to resolve the disputes between the two countries and helped the princess and her lover complete their lifelong events. Gulliver thus became a hero here, and this experience also made him understand that the strength of a person's heart has nothing to do with appearance.
