Plot:
Thelma Post (June Squibb) is a 93-year-old grandmother who is the victim of a phone scam. Thelma loses a ton of money, but... the scammers are screwing the wrong guy. With the help of a reluctant friend and his mobility scooter, Thelma sets out to find the scammers. Based on the experiences of writer-director Josh Margolin’s own grandmother and the first starring role in June Squibb’s 70-plus-year career, this film is a celebration and playful subversion of the action genre, as well as a deep exploration of aging and autonomy.
