Mike (Jesse Eisenberg) is a thorough homebody. He has never stepped out of the town where he lives. On weekdays, Mike works as a cashier in a supermarket. In his spare time, he likes to draw comics. However, the characters and stories that Mike even created will never be known to the public. Phoebe (Kristen Stewart) is Mike's girlfriend. Mike's biggest wish is to overcome his inner fear and take Phoebe to Hawaii for vacation. What Mike can't understand is that such an ordinary person suddenly appears around him. Waves of mutant agents who want to take their lives. However, when the deterioration of the situation involves the safety of the entire town and Phoebe, the power hidden in Mike's body breaks out, and he changes into a brutal and ruthless killing machine.
