The Black Hearted Ghost (Wu Ma) was originally a philanthropist from a hundred years ago. He did all kinds of good things, but caused an imbalance between good and evil in the world, so he was punished to kill nine greedy people in the mortal world before he could be reborn. Chen Kangtai (Chen You) accidentally released the Black Hearted Ghost from the urinal and was given three wishes to test whether he was a greedy person.
