Melinda Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) arrives in the remote California town of Virgin River to work as a nurse, thinking it will be a good place to start a new life and leave her painful memories behind. However, she discovers that small-town life is not as simple as she expected, and if Melinda really wants to make Virgin River her home, she must cheer herself up.
