Plot:
Showtime's 8-hour miniseries "Escape At Dannemora" (formerly "Clinton Correctional") is directed and executive produced by Ben Stiller and is scheduled to premiere on November 18, US time. "Escape At Dannemora" is based on real events. In 2015, the first jailbreak occurred in Clinton Correction Facility, a high-security prison in New York. Two convicted murderers successfully escaped with the help of a female prison officer. (One of the murderers pursued this officer and claimed to have a physical relationship.) Benicio del Toro plays the convicted murderer Richard Matt, who is an artistic and terrifying force in prison and dominates this jailbreak. Paul Dano plays David Sweat, another convicted police killer who seduces Tilly with his good looks. Patricia Arquette plays Tilly Mitchell, a married woman in the working class who is in prison for tailor training; she is seduced and has a relationship with two prisoners, which makes her an accomplice in the escape. In reality, Richard Matt was shot and killed by police three weeks later, and David Sweat was later shot and arrested at the Canadian border.
