In the early years of the Showa era, the great detective Katsuro Taketsugu (Mansai Nomura) returns to Tokyo on the Toyo Express, but encounters an incredible incident on the way. The rude and arrogant businessman Fujido (Kouichi Sato) is brutally murdered in his dream, and the murderer may be someone in the carriage.
