The fourth season of Inspector Morse returned to ITV in January 2017. This season consists of four episodes, titled "The Game", "Anthem", "Quarantine" and "Harvest". The plot is set in 1967 and continues from the end of the third season. It stars Shaun Evans and Roger Allam, Russell Lewis is the screenwriter, and Colin Dexter, the author of the Inspector Morse series of novels, is the consultant.
