The drama is adapted from the 2002 Japanese TV series of the same name. It tells the romantic story between Wu Ying, a dangerous man known as a monster, and Zhen Jiang, a woman with pain, as well as the entanglement between him and Zhen Jiang's brother Zhenguo.
