Katy Mixon plays Katie, a large, strong-willed mother. Diedrich Bader plays Jeff Otto, Katie's husband. Jeff loves Katie no matter how big she is. He always plays the role of the reasonable and logical person in Katie's unreliable plans. Ali Wong plays Doris, a responsible mother who does everything herself. She cares about things like large Easter eggs for Easter and sending the right Christmas cards. She doesn't fit in with the other mothers in Westport who are the same mold. However, other housewives often take advantage of her enthusiasm to instruct her to do things, which is a bully. Meg Donnelly plays Taylor, Katie's eldest daughter. She was originally clumsy and homebody, but suddenly became beautiful three months ago. Now she has to face her new life stage. The role was originally played by Johnny Sequoyah.
