Legend has it that Ah Fei was raised by a school of fish. He was very skilled, but he was indifferent to fame and fortune, and spent his days playing on the beach of the fishing village. He became close friends with Yan Shisan, a descendant of the previous dynasty. In order to help Yan Shisan and the King of Lanling regain the throne from the Fourteenth Prince, Ah Fei went to Lanling to save the King of Lanling and his daughter Yueyaer. During the escape, Ah Fei fell in love with Yueyaer, but for the sake of his friend's loyalty, he still sent Yueyaer to Yan Shisan's arms and retired sadly. When the Fourteenth Prince learned that Ah Fei had left, he dispatched troops to surround Yan Shisan; Ah Fei rushed over and fought against the Fourteenth Prince together with Yan Shisan. The Fourteenth Prince was a master of martial arts, and he died together with Yan Shisan; Ah Fei was rescued by a whale and has been wandering around the world ever since.
