Plot:
In 1929, newlyweds George and Salina Pemberton traveled from Boston to the mountains of North Carolina to build a lumber empire. Although George had lived in the lumber camp for some time and had caused his maid to become pregnant out of wedlock, Salina was new to the camp. But she immediately showed her energy, as well as that of a man: she supervised the work, trained eagles and caught snakes, hunted, and even saved her husband's life from a grizzly bear. With Salina's help, Pemberton conquered his opponents one by one. He cut down trees and the chaebol mined. On the surface, he took what he needed, but in the end, he was the winner. Anyone who dared to oppose him would end up dead. When Salina learned that she would not have children, she planned to murder the child her husband had raised with another woman before marriage. The mother and son began to hide from each other to survive. Not long after, Salina learned that her husband had secretly helped to protect the mother and son. Cracks began to appear in this harmonious marriage, and the story was heading towards a shocking ending.
