Plot:
The story tells about Yanagi, a woman in the Joseon Dynasty, who struggled to the highest position in the field of pottery with her outstanding ability. And her love story with Gwanghae. Because of the Imjin War, Yanagi was taken to Japan, and although she and Gwanghae died without illness, it spread the ceramic craftsmanship of Joseon in the local area. And later generations called it the story of Baekpo-seon. In the background of the most outstanding ceramics manufacturing branch in the Joseon Dynasty in East Asia at the end of the 16th century, which combined science and art, a child with a natural talent for ceramics and aiming to become the best female potter in Joseon, Yanagi (played by Moon Geun-young), faced complex court struggles and competition from other pottery craftsmen, and was constantly persecuted, but in the end, she gradually grew up through her own talents and efforts, defeated her old enemy, Lee Eok-do (played by Park Gun-hyung), and climbed to the highest position in the field of pottery. However, due to the outbreak of the Imjin Japanese Invasion, her love with the 15th king of Joseon, Gwanghaegun (Lee Sang-yoon), who had a tragic fate, ended in vain. In order to end the war, she finally chose to sacrifice herself. Together with her childhood sweetheart, Kim Tae-do (Kim Bum), who had been silently guarding her, she traveled to Japan to spread the Korean ceramic craft there. She became the ancestor of pottery at the Uchidayama kilns in Japan, and was later known as Baekposeon.
