Hong Kong superstar Liu Wei Chi (played by Andy Lau) has been in the film industry for 40 years and has always wanted to win the Best Actor award. He decided to work with director Lin Hao (played by Ning Hao) to shoot a rural-themed film, which would win international fame at the film festival.
