Set in the world of drag queens in San Francisco, the film tells the story of a conservative Texas church choir director who inherits her recently deceased son's San Francisco drag club. She follows her heart and moves from Texas to San Francisco to save the club from bankruptcy, shocking her conservative husband and those closest to her. In this loud and vibrant new environment, she begins to find new meaning in her life and establishes a mother figure in the hearts of the performers, but an unexpected visit disrupts her peaceful life.
