Plot:
Tramp Charlie (Charlie Chaplin) came to Alaska with the team to pan for gold. He met the wanted criminal Larson in a cabin, and then the gold digger Jim broke in and snatched Larson's gun. Larson went out to find food and found the gold mine that Jim was developing, so he didn't go back to the cabin. In the cabin, the hungry Charlie cooked leather shoes to satisfy his hunger, but Jim, who was hungry and confused, imagined Charlie as a turkey chasing him. Suddenly, a bear rushed in, and the two killed the bear together, and parted ways after a full meal. Jim found that Larson occupied his gold mine, and Larson knocked him unconscious, but unexpectedly fell into the ravine while running away. Charlie met the dancer Georgia (Georgia Hale) in the town and helped her get rid of the harassment of the nouveau riche. When he met her again by chance, Charlie invited her to dinner on New Year's Eve, but Georgia broke the appointment, and the lost Charlie could only perform dance for her in his dream. Jim, who was beaten to amnesia, met Charlie again in the town and asked Charlie to help him find gold. The two returned to the cabin, but were blown into the abyss by the blizzard. When they woke up, they were surprised to find the gold mine right next to them. Charlie and Jim successfully found gold and met Georgia who was in trouble on the boat back home. In front of the camera of the news reporter, Charlie and Georgia hugged each other intimately.
