Seven-year-old Deok-gu (Jung Ji-hoon) and his sister Deok-hee live with their grandfather (Lee Soon-jae) in a small village. A few years ago, Deok-gu's father passed away in a traffic accident, and his mother, who was devastated, also passed away soon after. Grandpa could only do odd jobs everywhere to raise his two grandchildren, but he couldn't even afford to buy a toy car for Deok-gu. When Deok-gu was about to enter elementary school, his grandfather found that he didn't have much time left. Worried that the young Deok-gu could not take care of himself and his sister, his grandfather prepared a final gift for his two grandchildren.
