During the Cold War of World War II, the Cuban crisis brought the two superpowers of the United States and the Soviet Union to a standstill, and an incident in May 1968 undoubtedly pushed the crisis to a hair-trigger situation. Captain Dimi (Ed Harris), who had just finished a long voyage and was about to retire, was ordered by his superiors to make his last cruise immediately, and he needed to drive the ballistic missile submarine B-67 that would be sold to China after retirement. During the voyage, Bruni (David Duchovny) from the KGB also accompanied him and tested a new device on the submarine. Dimi thought it was just a commemorative trip before retirement, but he didn't know that Bruni and his mysterious "Phantom Project" would tie the fate of submarine officers and soldiers and even the world to one line.
