In February 2012, a giant Digimon egg appeared above Tokyo Tower. When Daisuke Motomiya (20) and V-mon were practicing ramen, they met a mysterious young man who had a cracked Digimon but no partner Digimon. He claimed that "I don't have any Digimon, I killed my partner Digimon, and I am the first human in the world to establish a partnership with a Digimon."
