The mutant alien that appeared in the movie FTF escaped from the stomach of an employee of a genetic technology research company. Mulder and Scully found Gibson, who took Mulder to find the alien. Scully proved that Gibson might be an alien (all humans might be). The X-Files is now managed by Spender and Fowley. Gibson disappeared again in the end.
