In 1911, on the eve of the Revolution of 1911, a series of serial murders occurred in Song Mansion, Fuyuan County, a remote county on the outskirts of Tianjin. Tan Burton and others from the Tianjin Police Office rushed to Fuyuan County to investigate the case.
