The show is set in present-day Liverpool, where 20-something best friends Elliot and Jess are devastated by the loss of Peter, Elliot and Jess’s twin brother’s first and only love. When Elliot meets Will, he starts to think he can put his past behind him, but when Elliot learns that Will has secrets of his own, Jess is also contacted by a man claiming to be her brother.
