Plot:
Based on CJ Sansom's internationally acclaimed Tudor murder mystery novels, this four-part series is set in 16th century England during the dissolution of the monasteries. The series will tell the story of Matthew Shardlake, a lawyer with a keen sense of justice and one of the few upright men in a world of intrigue and intrigue. Shardlake works for Thomas Cromwell, Henry VIII's dangerous and all-powerful right-hand man. Despite his loyalty to Cromwell and the crown, Shardlake does not hold a high position in Tudor society due to his appearance, as he suffers from scoliosis and is insulted as a "liar" wherever he goes.
