Plot:
Generation Killer is a TV miniseries based on the 2003 Iraq War, adapted from the original novel of the same name by Evan Wright. The series will be broadcast on HBO in July 2008, with a length of seven hours. The production team is David Simon, Ed Burns, Nina K. Noble, Andrea Calderwood, George Faber and Charles Pattinson. The novel of the same name, Generation Killer (2004), is an autobiography written by Evan Wright, a reporter for Rolling Stone magazine, based on his personal experience. It tells the story of his experience as a reporter in the war zone, following the 1st Expeditionary Force of the US Marine Corps in the 2003 Iraq War. His description of the life of the Marine Corps was first published in three issues by Rolling Stone magazine in the fall of 2003. The opening chapter of the series, "Killer Elite", won the National Magazine Award for Best Reporting in 2004.
