Plot:
On a night full of frenzy and a little sadness, a couple lost their lovely young son Nick. This incident dealt them a great blow, and also pushed this originally contradictory marriage to the brink of collapse. The wife (Charlotte Gainsbourg) was immersed in grief for a long time and could not extricate herself. As a psychologist, the husband (Willem Dafoe) hoped to mend the broken marriage on the one hand, and tried to make his wife forget the past through psychological counseling on the other hand. In the end, they decided to go to a cabin in the Eden forest to relieve their mood. A year ago, the woman took Nick here to write a paper on Christ and anti-female. Past memories made her nervous and flustered when she returned here. Psychological treatment was carried out in a scorching and irritable mood. The couple did not find the long-awaited light, but fell into a more boundless darkness... This film won the Best Actress Award at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival (Charlotte Gainsbourg).
