Plot:
The film is considered a representative feminist film that protests against the patriarchal society. Thelma (Geena Davis), a housewife living in a dull and trivial housework, and her best friend Louise (Susan Sarandon), who works as a waitress in a cafe, get tired of their ordinary life and work, so they go out to travel together to relax. On the way, in a parking lot outside a bar, Thelma is nearly raped by an unknown man, but fortunately Louise arrives in time and shoots the man dead. The panicked two turn around and flee, and since then they have embarked on a road of no return. In the process, both of their personalities have undergone significant changes.
