Plot:
At the beginning of the 18th century, Japan was under the rule of the Tokugawa shogunate. At that time, a disease called "red herpes" was prevalent on the island. All the patients were men without exception. This disease was stubborn and difficult to treat, causing the death toll to continue to rise, and the ratio of men to women in Japan was seriously unbalanced. The hatamoto samurai Mizuno family living in Edo was poor. In order to help his parents relieve the pressure, the 19-year-old young samurai Yuzhijin (played by Ninomiya Kazuya) bid farewell to his childhood sweetheart Axin (played by Horikita Maki) and resolutely went to Ooku to serve. Due to the scarcity of men, Ooku has become the world of all kinds of handsome men. These men fought for power and status and even the favor of the general, fighting openly and secretly, and they were no less than women. Soon, the new general Yoshimune (played by Shibasaki Kou) moved into Edo, and the male harem was in turmoil again... This film is adapted from the girl's manga of the same name by Yoshina Gafumi.
