Amelia (Margaret Qualley) hired a thug Jackson (Russell Crowe) and commissioned him to help her get rid of the private detective Holland (Ryan Gosling) who was monitoring her. However, in the process of completing the task, Jackson discovered that a person who was much more dangerous than Holland was also monitoring Amelia's every move. To make matters worse, Amelia disappeared. In desperation, Jackson had to find Holland again and asked him to find Amelia's whereabouts.
