Hollywood plans to shoot a war film about an elite American team going to the southeast of Vietnam to carry out a top-secret mission during the Vietnam War. The film is called Tropic Thunder. The film is expensive and spectacular, and is known as the most expensive Vietnam War film ever. It also gathers Tucker Speedman (Ben Stiller), Kirk Lazarus (Robert Downey Jr.), Jeff Portney (Jack Black) and other outdated or popular stars. In order to strive for authenticity, director Damien Kirkburn (Steve Coogan) even pulled the crew to Southeast Asia for filming. At the beginning of the filming, there were constant problems, controversial topics frequently appeared, and finally it was involved in a real war in the local area... The film won the 2009 American Screen Actors Guild Outstanding Contribution Award, the 2008 Hollywood Film Festival Annual Comedy Award, and the 2009 Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Actor (Brandon Soo Hoo).
