Plot:
Claire Kubik (Ashley Judd), a strong female lawyer in San Francisco, and her husband Tom Kubik (James Caviezel) were suddenly arrested by the FBI and sent to a secret military court near Los Angeles for trial. He was charged with killing nine civilians in El Salvador while serving in the army. Shocked, Claire dropped her job and came to Los Angeles, hiring Charles Grimes (Morgan Freeman), a local military court lawyer, to defend Tom together with Lieutenant Embry (Adam Scott), a young defense lawyer assigned by the military. The three people's investigation and evidence collection were blocked by the military, and even Claire's personal safety was seriously threatened. Claire and Grimes, who firmly believed that their husbands were innocent, tried their best, but found that the complexity of the truth behind the case was far beyond everyone's imagination...
