This drama is adapted from Tezuka Osamu's "Shinsengumi". It tells the story of Okijuro, whose father was killed, who joined the Shinsengumi to hone his swordsmanship and avenge his father's death. During the enlistment exam, he met the cold-blooded boy Daisaku. Daisaku, a swordsman Koichi, whose origin is unknown, was introduced to the Shinsengumi as a long-awaited newcomer. Although the two cultivated a passionate friendship, they were unknowingly teased by the waves of the times and entered a tragic fate where they had to kill each other.
