Mikey (Johnathon Schaech) and JP (Adrian Grenier) are brothers who lost their parents very early and grew up relying on each other. The relationship between the brothers is very deep. However, as they grow older, the two brothers gradually take two completely opposite paths. JP becomes the owner of a construction company, while Mikey goes astray and joins the gang, and from then on lives in the midst of gunfire and intrigue. Because of heavy debt, Mikey is kidnapped by his creditor Eddie (Nicolas Cage). JP is very anxious to learn that his brother is in danger. He finds the help of plainclothes policeman Sal (John Cusack), hoping that the two can work together to rescue Mikey and destroy Eddie's evil house.
