Plot:
A mysterious woman named Grace (Nicole Kidman) breaks into a closed and conservative American town. She is beautiful and kind, and is escaping from the pursuit of gangsters. Tom, a writer in the town, urges the villagers to keep this woman and let her temporarily avoid the difficulties in the town. However, the condition is that Grace has to do various farm work to repay. People agreed, but soon found out that Grace is a wanted fugitive. Everyone wanted to drive Grace away, and finally agreed that she could stay here if she worked harder. Grace worked day and night, but she couldn't escape the unfortunate things that happened. A townsman raped Grace after the police searched. Dirty things kicked off: people began to insult her at will, and even Tom took off the mask of kindness. Grace became a dog in the town, working and suffering, and her kind heart gradually changed. The people in the town could never have imagined that the mysterious life experience of this woman would make the insult at this moment a disaster in the future.
