The film tells the story of a highly regarded fighter squadron during World War II. Most of the soldiers in the squadron were from Poland. They participated in the Battle of Britain, fighting side by side with the Royal Air Force against the Nazi attacks. During the battle, 303 Squadron shot down three times as many enemy planes as any other squadron.
