After a decade of cold war, Scrooge McDuck reunites with his estranged nephew Donald Duck when he is asked to take care of his three nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. The newcomers rekindle Scrooge's sense of adventure, and he invites Donald and his housekeeper Mrs. Beakley and her granddaughter Webby Vanderquack to live at McDuck Manor. Together, they embark on many new treasure hunting expeditions and globetrotting adventures while contending with villains such as Flintheart Glomgold, the Beagle Boys, and Mark Beaks. In Season 1, Dewey and Webby seek the truth behind the strained relationship between Scrooge and Donald and the disappearance of Della Duck, Donald's twin sister and the mother of the three ducklings, while the witch Magica De Spell manipulates events to facilitate her return and revenge on Scrooge.
