Jesse (Dominic Cooper) used to be a gangster. After washing his hands, he returned to his hometown after a long absence, inherited his father's church, and became a preacher. Every day, Jesse lives a muddle-headed life, and does not take his sacred profession seriously at all. However, one day, his ex-girlfriend Talip (Ruth Negga) and the Irish vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) came uninvited, completely disrupting Jesse's peaceful life. A powerful force called "Creation" has targeted Jesse and resides in his body. Jesse has a powerful power to manipulate the words and deeds of others. However, Creation is both good and evil, and it may even cause Jesse to lose his life. With such a time bomb hidden in his body, Jesse and his party embarked on a journey to find God.
