Plot:
Deloris (Whoopi Goldberg), a second-rate nightclub singer, was hunted by a gang leader because she accidentally witnessed a murder. In order to escape the killer's pursuit, she turned to the police for help. In order to protect her as a witness at the scene, the police arranged for her to hide in the safest place in the world - a convent. The quiet and lonely life in the convent made Deloris, who has always been active, unbearable, so she ran out to sing and dance at night when no one was paying attention. The director (Maggie Smith) was worried that something might happen to her, so she arranged her to the choir. She thought the choir was so bad that she decided to change it. So during the mass, the choir sang popular songs, but the lyrics were changed to praise God. Who would have thought that this move was warmly welcomed by the church members and attracted the Pope to come and appreciate it. How could the TV station let go of such interesting news? But once it was exposed on TV, Deloris was also announced to run for her life again.
